What is the purpose?
This calculator compares the two main complementary private pension plans in Brazil: PGBL (Plano Gerador de Benefício Livre) and VGBL (Vida Gerador de Benefício Livre). It helps you understand which plan is most advantageous considering your tax profile, investment term and retirement goals.
Formula Used
Accumulated Amount (with monthly contributions): M = P × (1+i)n - 1i
Where: P = monthly contribution, i = monthly fee, n = number of months.
PGBL: Allows you to deduct up to 12% of your annual gross taxable income in your full IR declaration. The IR upon exit is levied on the total amount (principal + income).
VGBL: No IR deduction during the period. The IR upon exit is only levied on income (capital gain).
How to interpret the result?
The simulation compares the net value when redeeming the plan after the informed deadline.
